Spontaneous ‘Tour de Paris’

We at the Quan enjoy life. Work hard, play hard is our motto. So sometimes you just have to do something spontaneous. So we looked at each other on an early Saturday morning and said let’s go to Paris today. To dance under the Arc de Triomphe at midnight is something we always wanted to do. So we went to Paris, drove towards this immense building at the heart of the Champs-Elysees and danced. It was lovely. Of course we didn’t stop there and partied till dawn. After all it was Saturday night. So we set ourselves to Club 79 (soixantedixneuf) on 22 rue Quentin Bauchart and enjoyed the superb and beautiful crowd and the sparkling house music. But then we asked ourselves where to sleep after. We turned our heads around and found it. Within 300 meters  of  the Arc the Triomphe there is a beautiful design hotel that drew our attention in a sec; Mon Hotel Paris is hidden in one of the side streets of the Champs-Elysees in a quiet neighborhood on 1/5 rue d’Argentine. This typical boutique and design hotel has a bit of a sexy twist that appealed to us immediately. Sensual pictures on the wall, friendly and sexy dressed personnel, a good gym and wellness area with a hamam did the rest. There was a good atmosphere in the lobby and in the bar. We slept in the suite, which was quite big for Paris’ inner city standards and had a fully equipped bathroom with more than enough amenities. The next (very late) morning, we enjoyed an extensive breakfast and after that we strolled around the streets near the hotel. We discovered amongst others a Céline and Isabel Marant shop to our fashion liking, glazed at the most exclusive cars parked on the side of the road of this posh neighborhood and enjoyed the calm quietness of a lazy Sunday in the heart of Paris. And yes…it wa slough to get ourselves back into the car and drive North towards rain and wind….
